Project Description
The Public Health Agency of Canada has invested $1.3 million in Niwasa Kendaaswin Teg’s Restorying the Bundle: Preventing Child Maltreatment Through Anishinaabe Knowledge Systems project. This community-led research initiative will adapt, co-create, deliver, and evaluate a nation-specific (Anishinaabe) version of the Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program.
Guided by Elders, Knowledge Holders, parents, caregivers, and community partners, this culturally adapted, community-led program aims to promote positive parenting and strengthen family wellbeing through Anishinaabe knowledge systems. The program will be tested in three urban, northern, and rural communities across Ontario.
